Meet The CEO
Dr. Afua Amoah Kubiti is a visionary leader, devoted wife, mother of four, and proud Autism parent. With over a decade of experience in social work, she is driven by a passion for advocacy, empowerment, and social justice. Her work spans child welfare, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), mental health, community engagement, nonprofit management, and leadership development.
She holds a Master’s in Social Work, specializing in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), and a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work. Her academic expertise, combined with lived experience and deep empathy, fuels her commitment to holistic, family-centered, and equitable care.
As the founder of Nurturing Hearts Horizon LLC, Dr. Kubiti delivers culturally responsive, client-centered services to individuals, families, professionals, and organizations. Her approach is grounded in compassion, clinical and non-clinical excellence, and deep community insight. She believes every child and family deserves quality care and support—and that every professional and organization deserves the opportunity to thrive.
She also co-founded and serves as executive director of Autism Wonders Inc., a nonprofit supporting Autism-impacted families in the U.S., Canada, and parts of Africa.
